Working on a design for a friends band's logo. 'Original Sin'.

They wanted an apple/snake scenario. I think ideally they want something that looks like a tattoo, which I am not too good at right now. So working with basic ideas and layouts for a logo, rather than band artwork. 

 

Using the O and S of the band name I came up with a basic logo design. 

The band wanted more of a snake skin effect on the snake so I played with some ideas. 

After I added colour to test out what it would look like. 

We tried it with the O looking like an apple, but it lost the initial effect. 

It was then the band found out that it was going through a rename. 

 

New Band Name: Legacy of Sin

Current first draft. 

LoS the initials of the band. Using the snake skin effect wanted originally and to look a bit like a snake or dragon in shape. 

Easy to transfer to merchandise. Cheap for screen printing. 

Added the name of the band and made the logo more snake like, as per the band's wants.
